why can't i get imaging to load in office xp?

I have reformatted and reinstalled windows XP and officeXP. When I try to
install "Imaging feature", it tells me feature is on CD-ROM... When I insert
disc it tells me MS Outllook 2002 is not a valid installation package. I need
to find installation pkg OUTRET.MSI?
I used Imaging frequently with these same versions of Windows and Office,
prior to reinstall.
I did download service pack 3 for office thinking it would help...no luck.
I hope this is enough info.
Thanks

Hi L.D.,

Are you referring to the optional Office installation feature of MS Office Document Imaging, or are you referring to MS Windows
Imaging?

From the information you listed it would appear that there is a separate (from MS Office) installation of MS Outlook on your PC.
The CD it's looking for would be for that separate CD. Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel to see what is
listed.

This can be caused by a missing or corrupt Windows Installer file. To
correct it, obtain the following utility and use it to remove only the
reference to Office. Once that is complete then you'll need to
reinstall Office to point the Windows Installer to your installation

Thanks Bob,

What it was looking for was the outlook information from my iPAQ. I don't
understand why...but it works!

Thanks again.
