why can't I get live technical support for windows vista for free.

Office XP crashed my computer with the OS Windows Vista, yet the only help
that I can get would cost me $80/hr. Doesn't Bill Gates have enough billions
of dollars?

Now I have to buy a new Microsoft office program as XP wiped out my Office
2003. I'm looking at spending $150 to $500 for an Office program all because
windows Vista was incompatible!

Your claim that "XP wiped out my Office 2003" doesn't make sense.

Office 2003/XP *is* compatible with Vista. If you are unable to repair your existing Office installation (via Control Panel|Programs
and Features), you could as a last resort uninstall then reinstall Office.

Office XP can work with Vista with a scant few issues. I'm not sure how
Office XP wiped out Office 2003. And you don't have to spend more money to
buy Office again - you just need to get your issues taken care of. You don't
necessarily have to pay for tech support. The folks here are willing to help
you as long as you supply enough information for that help.

If you can't afford MS Office, try Open Office instead..

www.openoffice.org

If you had MS Office 2003 installed, why did you then attempt to install
Office XP? Was Office 2003 a trial which had run its course?

Compatibility starts with your OS of preference. You then install
applications which are compatible with it.
