Why can't I have NO margins? I select 0"- but still small gap!

I am making simple flashcards and want to scale them equally, with borderless
printing and NO margins. No matter what I try I can't seem to get rid of the
gap around each page, and it's throwing off my cards. I don't want to have to
trim each page four times!! It's not like there is ink to the edges, but even
if there were, isn't that what borderless printing is all about?! In case
it's relevent, I'm on a MacBook, OS 10.5.2, with Canon Pixma MX330 4-in-1
Printer. Please help me, Google and Excel Help and this website have so far
failed me.
