I have .html files created in FrontPage 2000 on my hard drive in a folder on
my hard drive. I am trying to open them in FP 2003 and get an unable to
access the file "...._vti_pvt\service.lck" What does this mean?

Were the files on a CD? If so you need to un-check the Read Only attribute
in the file properties.

I had the same problem. Mine already had read only cleared and full access
set to Everyone. I renamed the file then tried again and Frontpage created a
new one and so far it's been OK since.
p.s. I'M NO EXPERT. Do the same at your own risk :)
