Why can't I receive email messages on my computer?

I recently changed computers, and set up my email account on the new
computer. When I test the account it says that everything is ok. However, all
of the emails that get sent to me, get routed to the old computer, not the
new one. Is there a way for me to either receive emails on both computers, or
just the new one?

Did you delete your Outlook profile on the old computer? Email will only go
to it if the computer is turned on, connected to the internet, and Outlook is
open using your profile and is sending/receiving.

If you want it to go to the new computer, delete your Outlook profile on the
old computer using the control panel mail applet. Transfer your PST over to
the new computer: http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm.

Dean,
1. If you don't plan to use your "old" computer to get new emails, you need
to go into the mail program on that PC, and remove the email accounts in the
mail application.
2. If you plan to get email messages in "BOTH" computers. You need to open
both PCs' mail applications, selecting one account at a time, go into the
account's advance settings, and check a box to leave messages on the server
for XX days before deletion. Depending how much space your ISP/Mail service
allocates, you should delete after 14 days, but you need to set this to your
personal needs. I would have one PC, and its mail accounts, be the one that
has the deletion setting.
