Why can't I recieve certain e-mails and I can recieve others?

There are a few times when I have noticed that I can't recieve certain
e-mails at work. A couple of times I have requested information from a
company on its web forum and the company never got back to me (so I thought).
Then I tried to send myself an e-mail (using comcast.net) with a small
attachment from home and never recieved it. I don't think it's an e-mail
server filter or security program, because other people in the office have
been able to get e-mail's from those sites I request from. Any ideas?

Do you have any add-ins? Are you scanning incoming mail with an antivirus
or antispam product? What version of Outlook and what account type?
