Why can't Word Address Book go directly to Contacts?

My Microsoft Word address function used to go directly to my contacts. Now
it goes to Outlook Address Book and I have to use the down arrow key to
select "Contacts" and then go back to the "Type name from or Select from
list:" input box.

I have already checked the Contacts Properties Dialog box in outlook to
ensure that contact is a real address book and I have checked the box in
Profiles that purportedly chooses Contacts as the first address book that
the programs check.

I am using Outlook 2000 and Windows XP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Frustrating, isn't it? I've never found a setting that will control this in
Word, only in Outlook. I have found, however, that after you redirect it
enough times, it will often start going there on its own. It seems to work
better in later versions.
