The last time I went into my outlook contacts, I was modifying coding for a
particular category. This list had contacts who were all classified as a
common "red" category but were also coded according to other categories so
for instance although they all had a "red" category in common were also
memebers of other categories i.e. blue, green, yellow etc.
At the same time I made a copy of the "red" category list and created a
separate folder in order to use this as my base from which to export outlook
contact data into an excell spreedsheet, i was also playing around with mail
merge options on word 2007 from this same copied "red" category folder.
After completing the work I needed to do I erased the duplicate "red" folder
and when I went into my main contacts list although the original "red"
category of contacts were still present all the rest of there coding i.e the
blue, green, yellow etc had disappeared.
I am not sure why/how this happened.
