Why do alpha/numeric text boxes i.e. L3, when printed, the three .

When printing a Visio object, placed in Word or Excel spreadsheets, tags i.e.
L3, the 3 is partially missing, I have tried printing to different types of
printers, to no avail. I have tried sizing, changing order etc., again, to
no avail. I would appreciate any help with this problem.
