Why do custom menus in Visio always reset?

In most of the MS apps, I like to customize the menus. I find that in Visio,
the menus reset to the default most every time that I open up a drawing in a
new session. Why does it seem like the custom menus are saved with the
drawing instead of in the programitself. In the Advanced tab of Options,
"Put all settings in Windows registry" is checked.

Generally this means you have an add-on installed that does not respect
custom menus. Some versions of Adobe Acrobat have a Visio add-on that has
caused this problem. You might try to upgrade to a newer version of that.
