I have a document with bad formatting. Starting with a clean corporate
template, I've created the four styles I want available. I need to have
specific Heading 1 and Heading 2 titles, so I wanted to copy in the text from
the 'bad' doc. The formatting style changed to CHAR - which is what it was
in the 'bad' doc. I deleted the CHAR style, which changed the style to
default Normal.
I C&P to the new doc, applied the heading styles as required and then C&P
the distribution list. My styles are gone again! Well, they exist but are
not applied to the paragraphs, and I cannot reapply them. Every time I select
a style, the display remains CHAR.
Anyone have any idea what I can do?
Why do I care if the text looks right? As we type in new paragraphs -
normal ones, not headings - the style just does what it wants to do. As a
result, we've had to format each paragraph individually for months. I'm
quite tired of formatting!
