Why do FrontPage 2000 hover buttons become black boxes when viewe.

Using FrontPage 2000 hover buttons that are gold background with maroon text
on them, but whenever I try to print a Web page containing these hover
buttons or even do a Print Preview, they all appear as just black rectangles,
so text is not even readable. Can someone please help me? I cannot find a
solution anywhere. Thank you.

Because they are a computer generated image.
They don't actually exist as an image in a page, they are "rendered" on the monitor screen.

By the way, most people have stopped using them because they no longer work in all computers.
