why do i get locate link browser from outlook to explorer

If I click on a link in an e-mail in inbox of outlook, instead of putting
that address in address bar of explorer, explorer opens with a window behind
it "locate link browser" Ive made sure explorer is my default browser and i
don't think i have another browser. what to do. Jeff Elliott
