Why do I get updates for Office XP after I upgraded to Office 200.

After I upgraded to MS Office 2003 the installation process said to go get
necessary updates. When I did that, it also updated MS Office XP which I had
upgraded from. Why would I still get updates for Office XP if I upgraded to
Office 2003. Also, do I need to install those updates also?
Thanks so much for any help I can get!

You probably kept one or more Office XP components (such as the Office
Shortcut Bar, Front Page 2002, or Publisher 2002) when you upgraded to Office
2003. It won't hurt to let the OfficeUpdate wizard do its thing.
