Why do I have no dictionary (Off2007) on clean install?

I've wasted more than an hour trying to find a solution on the Microsoft
pages, with no hint to a solution - let alone finding my actual problem. And
the posts here only allude to the problem with Outlook 2007.

I've installed parts of the MS Office 2007 Suite: only Word and Excel. This
is a totally clean install - no prior MS Office Suites were on my PC. And
Outlook has been removed a while back, prior to installed MS Office 2007.

Whenever I attempt to spell check I get the following error message: "Cannot
find proofing tools for English (Australia). If you have the proofing tools,
try installing or re-installing them. Contact your local reseller to obtain
Office Proofing Tools. For more information, see the Microsof Office Site."

I am absolutely exasperated, and seriously peeved - at how frustrating MS
Office 2007 is being - on such a fundamentally simple thing that is the basis
for my use of this software.

Can someone please tell me where I install or download this "Office Proofing
Tools" as I can't find hide nor hair of it myself. @_____@

When you selected to install Word and Excel in your customized setup,
did you uncheck the things on the bottom that are called something like
Office Shared Items or so? (Don't have a setup screen in front of me
right now). Or in other words, in the customization tree, did you only
leave Word and Excel checked?
