Why do I keep getting a C++ error?

Most times I work on a paper and I have just started and I don't save the
document (practically blank) within a few minutes I get a C++ error and it
closes Word. Whenever I try to recover the paper it does it again and I don't
even have time to save it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Exactly what is the error message you get, if any? What is the Windows
and Word version you are using? How much disk space is available? How
much memory is installed on your computer?

In the meantime, try this and let us know:
As soon as you open a new document, save it immediately to the hard
drive. As you work on the document, save frequently.

Also, under Tools Options Save, make sure Always create backup
copy and Save autorecovery..... are on, and Allow fast saves is
off.

Run Scandisk or Chkdsk on all local drives and fix all errors. Run a
defragmenter on all local drives.
