Why do I receive task requests as an e-mail attachment?

When I receive a task request it is an normal e-mail with the task attached.
I can not accept or decline the task. Why is this?

The task needs to arrive with the tnef encoding intact. What type of mail
server do you use? While it works best with Exchange, as long as it's sent
with the RTF encoding and the server doesn't strip it, the task request
should arrive as a task request.

One thing that often helps is for the sender to explicitly set your address
to always use RTf.

different tasks are assigned to different members of the team through
- Add a task with NEW ITEM.

Question:- Automatic Email with all the details, should be sent to the
ASSIGNED TO (member) immediately after clicking on Save and Close.

How to achieve this?

How do I set an address to always use RTF? I am not using an Exchange
Server. Using Office Calendar sharing program with POP email.
