When I reply to an email,a copy of my reply with me as the sender shows up in
my inbox as soon as the message is sent. How do I stop this? I use gmail,
IMAP setup.

Do you have the option enabled to save replies in the same folder as
the original message to which you replied?

You don't mention WHICH version of Outlook that you use. I am still
using OL2002. In that version, Tools -> Options -> Preferences tab ->
E-Mail Options, Advanced E-mail Options button -> "In folders other
than Inbox, save replies with original message". Is that option
disabled? If disabled then your replies get put in the Sent Items
folder. If enabled, your replies go into the same folder as the
original message. I suspect you have the option enabled, and that the
original message is in your Inbox folder and why the reply also goes
there.

If you are using some other version of Outlook, well, mention it and
maybe someone that uses that version can direct you through the
options if you can't find one that applies.
