Why do my combo boxex change colour

Using Access 2007 I have several forms with a mix of text / date fields and
combo boxes. All fields are set to white and when I open the form that is how
they show but the combo boxes change to blue after tabbing out of the field
(whether I enter data or not) - how can I stop this? The Back Style is set to
normal and the Back Colour to #FFFFFF on all fields.

From Allen Browne's article on 2007 bugs, which I think addresses your
problem:

"A combo may display as transparent when focus leaves it. Workaround: set
the AlternateBackColor property of the the (Detail?) Section to something
other than "No Color", e.g. #80000027."
