I recently purchased a new computer. I had Microsoft 2000 on my old computer;
my new computer has Microsoft Outlook 2003. Suddenly the recipients of the
email I send are discovering that the curly apostrophes and quotes in my
email are replaced by strings of strange characters. I've tried switching to
universal fonts (Arial, Times) but these fonts in Outlook have curly
apostrophes and quotes instead of the straight ones which, according to a
couple of web sites I have found, should be universally understood whereas
the curly ones are not universally understood. I can't find a font or setting
that will fix the problem. Any ideas? I'd like to send some professional
correspondence, but cannot until I can find a way to do so without sending
gibberish.
