Why do my sent messages go to my Inbox?

Since I switched to an IMAP type of mailbox, my sent messages go to my Inbox
rather than my Sent folder. How can I fix this?

Your Inbox? I doubt it. The Sent Items folder in your defaul delivery
location, though, I can believe. If you want messages to be placed on the
IMAP server, you must create a rule to move a copy of your sent mail to the
server.

Yes, my Inbox.

Anyway, I fixed the problem. In advanced email settings, I needed to
uncheck the box that says "In folders other than the inbox, save replies with
original message."
