Why do some Excel cells refer to e-mail?

Why do some Excel cells display fonts of a different colors. Specificaly,
when I use a sum function, the result appears sometimes in in blue, somtimes
in green and sometimes in purple. When I highlight these cells , if the
formula in the cell is "sum(g7,j7)" for example, the following message will
appear: " mailto:=sum(g7,j7). click once to follow, click and hold to select
thsi cell". Double clicking will send me to my e-mail.

The cells have probably been set up as Hyperlinks. To remove them, select
the cell (click and hold), then right-click and select "Hyperlink". You
should then see a button for "Remove Hyperlink". Your formulas will not be
affected, but they should look normal now.
