Why do the hyperlinks not work?

I have a spreadsheet that I'm using to reference a bunch
of other documents, and the hyperlink function will work
one time, but then it changes itself and won't work
anymore.

Example:
\\(Server)\User\Folder\Folder\2002 Report.doc

then it changes to:
.../Folder/Folder/2002 Report.doc

you also previously posted in worksheet.functions newsgroup,
you should only post to one newsgroup and the best newsgroup
would actually be the excel.links but I'm sure you'll get an answer
wherever you do post. Just don't expect answers in 5 minutes
wait 24 hours, longer if program code is involved.

Hey Dave,

FYI, I had to figure this one out myself. I set up the
hyperlink base to include part of the path; that way the
link itself wouldn't be so long. (and stupid Excel can't
frustrate me by changing it)
