why does a 800x600 px page go right in web preview

when a completed web site is previewed in web page preview why does it snap
to the right hand side margin? this refers to narrow pages as if I use 984x
what ever length it previews perfectly

Publisher produces pages that are LEFT justified. If yours is to the right
then something is not normal.

What version of publisher are you using?
What browser and what version are you using?
What is your URL?

Like Spike, I cannot envision what you are doing or reproduce it. You can
try to explain again in more detail, or perhaps it would help if you do not
specific the length of your pages.

Regardless of what width you choose leave the length at the default with Pub
2003 and 2007. When you produce your web files, Publisher will automatically
truncate the page right after the last design element on each page and
produce custom length pages depending on the content, so you do not need to
specify a '600 pixel' length.
