Frequently when I try to create or edit queries, forms or reports or open the
VBA code window, Access tries to begin an installation of DAO. The
installation hangs because it says it can't find a valid source of
installation files. Once I cancel out of two consecutive attempts at this by
Access, the program goes on happily to do whatever it was I was trying to do
with no further complaint.
I'm running an up-to-date WinXP setup. I originally installed an Office 2003
Teacher/Student upgrade to my Office 2000 Professional installation, keeping
Access 2000 on the machine, then added an Access 2003 upgrade as a separate
install from a standalone upgrade CD. Is there a reason that jumps out at
anyone for this fixation on trying to re-install DAO?
Thanks in advance.
