Why does an e-mail take 45-60 secs to open?

Hi,

I recently installed the new version of McAfee (secrity centre) and had
severe problems the most obvious one being that it now takes Outlook 45-60
secs to open an e-mail from any folder.

I uninstalled Mcafee but the problem persists. The task manager shows 100%
processor load while 'opening' the e-mail.

Windows 2000: Version 5 Service Pack 4
Office: 2000 Small Business (reinstalled today) and updated to SP3
