Why does BM__MailAutoSig appear in my e-mails?

Is there any way to remove the BM__MailAutoSig which appears when some plain
text recipients get e-mails from me sent from Outlook 2003 in HTML
(non-Word) format?

I doubt if it's possible unless you stop using an automatic signature in
WordMail. I'm curious, though, as to exactly what the plain text recipient
sees.
