Thanks so much for the response.
I'm not sure what you're asking about what kind of email account I have,
but
I'll tell you what I know.
I have 2 accts. Both are POP3s. One is my personal acct., on a server run
by
Charter Commun. which I access through a cable modem at home. The other is
for work and is provided through a local company on servers in their
office.
It's accessed through a fractional T1 at work.
As far as I know (I'm at work now and I only use Outlook on the computer
at
home), I may have set the work acct. to leave the message on the server.
At work I use Outlook Express and I do have my home acct. set up to leave
the message on the server, and at home Outlook Express (which I used to
use
at home) is set up to leave the work acct. on the server.
I have used OE for many years and work with it well, but I have stayed
away
from Outlook until just recently. Apparently, when OE removes the message
from a server, it removes it for good it no matter how you retrieve it.
With Outlook, apparently, if I leave the message on the work acct. server
when I'm at home, it will always retrieve it at home, even if I get it at
work with OE and have OE set to delete it after I retrieve it.
=============================
This sure was a long explanation. I was hoping this was a common
phenomenon
that newbies to Outlook often experience, and that there is an easy answer
to. Guess not.

Why does email "permanently" deleted keep reappearing in the Inbox?
