why does excel keeping rounding numbers

every time i type a number with a decimal piont ie 22.5 it rounds the figure
up to next highest ie23 - why

check your formatting to see if the format is number with decimal places = 0

If the format of the cell is General and the column is too narrow, excel will
show what it can.

Try widening the column or using a smaller font.
