why does it always say 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected

Hi i have a vista operating system and with office 2007.... it is now giving
me alot of headaches trying to send emails via outlook 2007, always giving me
the message the following message " 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected " even when
the email address i have typed are correct.

Is there any way to correct this problem..

It's still a configuration issue. What mail account type are you using and
are you using the SMTP server settings from your ISP or a 3rd party one? If
you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook disable this
integration and try again.

i am using POP3 server setting... the settigs are from my ISP... i had tried
to disable the virus scanner but still faced the same problem.... the strange
thing is that i can send the emails when i was in the office but now that i
am overseas it doesnt seem to work???

It's still a configuration issue. What mail account type are you using and
are you using the SMTP server settings from your ISP or a 3rd party one? If
you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook disable this
integration and try again.

That clarifies a lot; you are not on the network of your ISP now? A lot of
ISPs only allow access to their SMTP servers when you are on their network.

ok but still i had no problem when i was using xp with office 2007.... thats
the main reason i thought the problem was with vista... is there any way to
fix the problem..

Using authentication on your SMTP server is one solution. Another one could
be to use the SMTP server settings of the network that you are on.
