Why does it ask me to save message when I copy an attachment from an e-mail? OU2002

If I am reading a message and I drag the attachment from the message I
am reading, into another folder, I am prompted with "Do you want to
save message" when I close the original.

Please let me know if there is an option to turn this off. All I'm
doing is copying the attachment to another folder and trying to close
the original message, without it prompting me to "save".
