Why does my e-mail send large files over and over again?

For the past several months any large e-mail attachment I send will not stop
sending, my computer thinks it has not sent and the recipients get it
anywhere from 8- 30 times before I can delete it from my outgoing mail box.
Does anyone know why this is happening? How I can stop it?

Thanks in advance,

This is a 'stuck message' that needs to be removed. Try File, Work Offline,
delete it. You may have to close Outlook after selecting Work Offline. Reopen
it and then delete and uncheck Work Offline.

If its getting sent but not getting moves to the sent folder, something is
preventing outlook from connecting to the sent folder or a utility is
confusing outlook, making it think its not sent. Typically, the first
happens when there is a bad network connection to exchange server, the
second is caused by antivirus filters scanning outbound mail.
