Why does my Logo not in FrontPage when I preview in a browser?

I placed a logo with web safe color background and web safe line colors in
white on my FrontPage web page. It looks ok on the page when I'm working on
it, but when I preview it in the browser, all I see is an empty picture box.
How can I make the Logo display? It works fine in the black print on other
pages.

Easier to publish the page and all associated files, but you could post the
relevant markup here - the HTML and CSS for the logo and a few lines either
side.

Did you save the logo in RGB color format?
If you saved it as CYMK ( print format ) it will not display in a browser.

I am not sure...I saved it both as a GIF and JPEG. But when I insert it, and
go to make the background transparent, I believe it converts to GIF anyway.
Is there another setting I should be checking to?

Yes, I have tried I believe, to produce it in both. How can I tell what they
are in and whether it is right?

Depends on the image, especially if you're trying to make a transparent gif
!

Post the image somewhere we can see it...photobucket, or just publish it to
your website on a temporary page so we can see.

Okay, we know what it looks like. But, what's your problem? What do you
mean it's not in FP when you preview in browser?

What I mean is that I can insert it into my FrontPage document. I can see it
just fine, except that the line's edges are jagged, while I'm working on the
design portion of the page. It is there, it has the correct view etc...but
when I use the function to "Preview in Browser" the image disappears from
view and I am left with just the rest of my text, background image, etc., but
no logo. There is a logo sized box imposed on the page, but no image.

resolution is excessive to put it mildly....1400 dpi?
doesn't look squiggly.
Are you IMPORTING the image into your FP web first...then insert it into
your design from WITHIN FP?
Did you use anti-aliasing when you created the image?...sometimes you have
to try both with and without...dunno why.

Ok, Now I think I've solved a couple of my problems. Apparently when
exporting Corel files as a JPG or GIF files, the background is fussy about
becoming completely transparent and the resolution points you all made
cleared up a good part of my jagged edges issue. So now I've exported the
logo files as PNGs and it's perfect! Thanks everyone for your help!

JPG cannot have background transparency.

Again, Thank you all for your help. I have published what I've done so far
to Overdosadventure.com so you can see what you've helped a total novice to
create. It's far from done, but its there...
