Why does my PC want to "install" Word everytime I open it?

I downloaded a TRIAL version of Office STANDARD 2007, then bought Office HOME
& STUDENT (3-user). I uninstalled STANDARD and then installed HOME & STUDENT.
Now everytime I open Word or Excel, my PC goes through the motions of
"installing" Word or Excel. It eventually opens, but is quite annoying
waiting for this little odd ritual. Any ideas WHY it just doesn't open up
like it should and not "install" first and then open?
