why does my visio object in word print incorrectly?

I am trying to print a Word document that includes a Visio object. When I
look at the Visio object in Word or Visio it appears correct, but when I
print some of the letters and characters disappear. It's not always the
first or last letter in a sentence, and the letters near the missing one are
there.

You didn't mention the versions of Word or Visio you're using.
In Office XP there were some issues with text printing of Visio
objects that were corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.

I'm using Office 2003. Is it possible for me to attach the document I'm
talking about so that you can see it? Also, I forgot to mention that when I
print from Visio it's fine, only when I print the whole document in word is
there a problem. Thanks!
