Why does my word form take so long to open

I have a word form created for filling in on line with questions and check
boxes (about 100). This takes about 45 - 50 seconds to open. Is there a way
to rectify this

1. Which version of Word

2. Which set of tools did you use to create the forms boxes? (What was the name
of the toolbar)
