Why does Office 2003 security update KB934180 fail continually?

Can I get it to work or to stop trying so it stops slowing down my XP Pro
computer?

I'm running XP pro on a Dell D600 laptop....I'm experiencing the very same
slowdown every time I ry to install KB934181. KB934180 is a general update
for Office 2003 and KB934181 is an update for Word. I've tried installing the
WU individually and as a group of six. But clearly KB934181 is the culprit
that kills the performance of my laptop.

I finally got the update to install, unfortunately. I tried installing
KB934180 manually, rather than automatically, and found it was hanging up on
FrontPage 2003. So, I uninstalled FrontPage, let the update run on the
remainder of Office 2003, and then reinstalled FrontPage. It worked.
However, now Outlook is a mess. Some of my email accounts no longer work
properly, and my Palm PDA won't sychronize with Outlook any more.
