Why does Office Update incorrectly identify my version of Office?

I recently upgraded to Office 2003. When I visit Office Update, it displays
patches for 2000. Can I tweak a reg setting or do I need to do a full
uninstall/reinstall.

displays
patches for 2000. Can I tweak a reg setting or do I need to do a full
uninstall/reinstall.

First check Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs for any Office 2000 family
programs, such as Publisher; that you did not update to 2003. If you have
any, that is what is being updated.
