Why does Office update not find .cab file on Frontpage 2003 CD?

I tried to update my Office Frontpage 2003 and Visio Professional 2003 via
the MS Update page. After loading the file, the program asked me to insert
my Frontpage 2003 CD, which I did, yet the update could not find the required
".cab" file.

Both Frontpage2003 and Visio Pro 2003 updates failed to install.
