Why does Outlook 2003 change fonts?

I have my Outlook 2003 set up to use Arial 10 in all defaults that I can
find. Sometimes, in the middle of writing an email, it changes to Times Roman
12 and keeps doing so randomly even after I reselect Arial. It seems to occur
mainly when I have been tabbing or backspacing in the body of the message. It
drives me crazy.

Make sure your sig is using the same font (Tools | Options | Mail Format).
If you backspace and your sig moves up, the previous line might take on the
properties of the sig.
