Why does Outlook 2003 lose my email passwords?

If I click Send and Receive in Outlook 2003, I get and send mail for all of
my email accounts with no problems. But, if I have Outlook set to
automatically check mail at a specific internval, it shows me the message box
asking me to enter the password for some of the accounts some of the time. I
am connecting through SBC (AT&T) Yahoo DSL.
