Why does Outlook BCM say "report could not be generated"?

oI recently started using BCM. I entered my Contacts, and a number of
Opportunities, and created a couple of Opportunity Reports.
I now want to expand my use of Reports, by exporting them to Excel. But when
trying to create Opprtunity Forecast & Opportunity Funnel Reports today, I
just get the message "The report could not be generated. Please try again."
Any ideas on causes/remedies? Thanks.
