Why does Outlook keep closing unespectedly?

I run Office XP SP3 and Windows XP SP2.

Outlook has recently started to keep closing on me unexpectedly (and this
also happens, to a lesser extent, with Word and Excle).
Cannot find any reason for it and nothing elsewhere on the Help and Support
site.

Anyone out there got any clues as to why? Seems to have got worse after
installing recent Updates for both Office and Windows from the official MS
Updates site.

Since this is happening to (nearly) all your Office products, try a
detect/repair in add/remove programs. Have your install media handy.
