Why does Outlook 2000 SR-1 lose the second line in its signature?
Between Dec 2004 and 01 Feb 2005 I kept losing only the second line of my
signature in Outlook.
The fist line of my signature contained my name.
The second line contained my qualifications.
Between Dec 2004 and 01 Feb 2005 I was working for a prominent UK Health
Board.
Each time I logged in I fixed the problem in my signature and each time I
came back it had lost only the 2nd line.
My confidence in Outlook and properly administered back end servers goes
back to 1995 when I had my name, job title, c ompany address, Company
telephone number, Fax number, And a full discalimer in my signature.
My question is can anyone elaborate on why all of a sudden this strange
problem manifested.
The Health Authority is one of the UK's leading University Hospitals that
would receive patients(in a crisis) during the soon to be held G8 summit of
World leaders including USA's President George W. Bush.
If this is illegal intrusion it needs the security services swarming all
over as someone has possibly got control of some of the UK's most advanced
academic networks.
Please can someone consider all possibilities of how thiis may have occured
- for the sake of the safety of the free world.
If anyone has read Clifford Stohl's book 'Cuckoos Egg' and its sequel then
they will understand the gravity of what may be going on.
When I reported it I was told not to make waves and basically told to shut up.
My background is defence, scientific research and finance as a senior IT
administrator.
In the matter reported above I was simply a user with no responsibility or
awareness of the servers or Operating Systems they were running with.
