why does "subscript out of range" pop when I open up Word?? 2003

When I open up Word-2003 a frame opens up and states "Subscript out of range"
I am able to x it out and start using Word, however would like to correct
the error.

It sounds like a macro (either an automatic macro, like AutoExec or AutoNew
or one belonging to an add-in).

Have you installed any add-ins, or are you running any automatic macros?

Did this just begin recently? If so, it might be a virus, or it might be
that something you installed isn't working right.
