Why does text box change color/black out when I click to edit it?

Hello,

When I click in the text box to edit my slide, the background turns a
different color on different slides. On one slide it turns blue. On another
slide it blacks out some of the text in the box. And on another slide it
blacks out all of the test in the box. So on some slides, I can't see what
I'm trying to edit (text is black). Is there a way to click in the text box
and have it remain clear, without color? Or did I do something wrong?

Thanks in advance!
Sam

Based on your description, I can think of two possible issues.

One is that your text and slide background colors are the same in the slide
color scheme. In the slide design--color schemes taskpane, hit the "edit
color schemes" link at the bottom and change one or the other.

If that doesn't help, it may be just a basic display issue. Try changing
hardware acceleration (probably lower). See How to set graphics hardware
acceleration back
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00129.htm for instrux.
