Why does text in a cell truncate?

Text copied from Word put into a cell gets truncated after a point. In one cell, the whole text shows up in the formula bar when highlighted, but is not showing in Print Preview or in Print, however, the space the text would take up is left empty. In another cell, the cell perimeter itself endes up cutting off the rest of the text from being viewed even after the cell space has been enlarged

You don't say how many characters are in the cell but XL will always display
more data in the formula bar than the cell itself. For exact data for your
version type Excel specifications in help.

Regarding the blank spaces, are you copying lots of blank data, lines or
paragraph markers at the end of the data...it shouldn't, but Excel may be
seeing these as characters
