OK, I'm pretty sure this is a bug in MS Office.
I have Word 2000 (9.0.6926 SP-3) on Win XP SP2 and it has all the updates
from the office automatic updater. I'm working on this document and when I
drag and drop a bmp file into Word, I expect it to put the image in my
document. INSTEAD... it opens the compose email header as though I had
clicked on the email button on the toolbar. Clicking on the email button in
the toolbar will close the email header. That's fine. The only way I seem to
be able to import a picture is by going to the file menu and clicking Insert
-> Picture, etc. And yes, I tried different bmps created by MS Paint. Anyone
seen this before? I searched the MS knowledge base and didn't see anything on
it.
