Why does the text move when filling in the blanks?

Hello, I created the application with fill in the blank lines for customers
to fill out online. I tried it out myself and the line is stationary for the
text BUT the text next to the line moves to the right as you're typing in the
answers before it. How can I make the text next to the line stay in place?

Hey Suzanne,

I followed the steps on that document but I do not want to create the form
using table borders and cells, just a regular line.

The article suggests other ways besides table borders, but if this is a form
to be filled out online, you'd really be better off using form fields.
