Why does timing go off in PP pres when published down to CD?

Using Microsoft Office Professional 2007. My son made a powerpoint
presentation for 4-H with slides and music (from Itunes). It works great on
our PC - timing is perfect, but when he published the PP down to a CD, the
timing is off with animation - there isn't enough time to read slides with
writing on them. Do I have to use a certain type of CD - CD-R or CD-RW?

The type of CD has no bearing on the problem. It is the difference in speed
between the HD and the CD. Your never going to get it right on. timing is
not one of PowerPoint's greatest features.
